Bucharest Summer University is currently at its 6th edition, 2005 being the year in which the Bucharest University of Economics, by dint of the Students' Senate has assumed its responsibility for building and deploying such a program at institutional level.

    Bucharest Summer University 2009 was held over 2 weeks (during 10th and 24th of august);
s
    It represented a challenge for 55 participants;
s
    Analyzed topic: "Economics and politics in the global world "
s
    The location was Moxa campus of the Bucharest University of Economics
s
Altogether 16 courses and seminars were held by specialists from the economic field and teachers from renowned european universities.
s
    Among those mentioned earlier the following were remarkable: Daniel Dăianu, Gordon Crawford PhD, Jeffrey R. Franks, Adrian Severin PhD, Željko Šević PhD, Gheorghe Zaman PhD, Lucian Croitoru PhD, Radu Soviani, Ioan Cuzman PhD and Florin Pogonaru;
s
    At the end of the two weeks, the students and graduates from 15 foreign countries had achieved, aside from the experience of a summer university that combined theoretical elements with fun and culture, 5 international transferable credit points (5 ECTS).

    At the end of the two weeks, the students and graduates from 14 foreign countries had achieved, aside from the experience of a summer university that combined theoretical elements with fun and culture, 4 international transferable credit points (4 ECTS).
